Lakeman Lager

Another straight up lager from a great little NZ brewery. I think a lager like this should be about 90% predictable and 10% surprise - you know what you're going to get but there's room for a bit of yum that's not quite like the others. And this guy is bang on the buck. Lakeman have stuck in a decent malt body so it's not a super light or dry feeling lager, but still very clean and drinkable; and a good clean hop profile to match with a reasonable bitterness and a slight citruisy twinge. NZ lager on the button. Went down well with poached egg on a hash brown for a Sunday afternoon breakfast.

ABV: 5.0%
Brewery: Lakeman
Region: Taupō
Style: Pale lager
Wife check: "Hmm. Smells and tastes like a lager."
