Cargo Wheat Beer
A nice and fairly subdued German Hefeweizen (maybe they call it a Krystal Weizen when it's this clear? Did they filter it?). Doesn't look particularly wheat beery, with a nice golden colour, almost clear with a very subtle haze, and not much head that all faded away fairly quickly. A definite German Hefeweizen flavour with those hints of clove and banana from the yeast, but overall fairly subtle compared to most, which isn't a bad thing, perhaps making it more drinkable. A slight hop flavour sneaking through, and a slight (barley) malt note coming through too, giving it a slightly more European lager flavour than most Hefeweizens. Overall I quite enjoyed it.
ABV: 4.5%

Wife check: "It's not too intense, but I just don't really like wheat beers."
