Liberty Uprising NZ Pale Ale

Another great beer from Liberty that nicely showcases the quintessential NZ hop flavour, to contrast to most their beers that showcase big US hop flavours. A nice strong bitterness that sits under a good almost grapefruit (I might say gooseberry, but I actually have no idea what a gooseberry is let alone what it tastes like, but that's the word people seem to use for that big Nelson Sauvin flavour) flavour. A very subtle slight sweetness from the malt coming through with an otherwise reasonably subdued maltiness, but enough to balance the huge hops (so maybe it's actually a big malt flavour that's just strategically hidden in the balancing act?). Anyway, the key to this beer is big bitterness and big classic NZ hop flavours.

(Trying to do something different with the photos, so I tried laying the bottle down. See what I did there?)
