Urbanaut Montrose Hop Oil IPA
First beer I've had from this Auckland brewery. A whopper of a beer that's hugely hop driven, boasting a decent bitterness but a huge hop aroma from the American hop oils it came from. Citra oil and Simcoe pellets, two big and classic hop varieties that give a fruity (apricots, passionfruit) and almost flowery lightness, but well balanced with a good strong bitterness to make it taste a bit kiwi and a nice "mouth feel" (I don't like that word, what the hell is a mouthfeel anyway), with whatever malts they used bringing the whole thing together quite nicely adding enough for a subtle niceness hiding under all the hoppy hugeness.
Overall, it's a winner.

Wife check: "It's good, it's actually real good, bit it's not amazing. Almost had an oily silky finish."
