The Fermentist Kiwi Pale Ale

Not a bad drop but not particularly great either. Quite bitter and definitely big NZ hop notes, but far more bitterness and less aroma than a typical NZ pale ale (don't get me wrong there is a definite pleasant fruity aroma there). Wierdly I also got almost a mint flavour coming through. Overall very drinkable, but quite a bitter lingering aftertaste.

Apparently the first Carbon Neutral beer in NZ, whatever that means (something to do with gluten free maybe).

ABV: 4.8%
Brewery: The Fermentist (owned by Lion)
Region: Christchurch
Style: NZ Pale Ale
Wife check: "Nice smell, quite citruisy. It's good, nice, well balanced"
