Epic Pale Ale

Another classic NZ mainstream-craft beer from a big-small brewery. Appropriately named Epic pale ale packs 15 hops (well the bottle says 15, but their website says 25!?) into a pale ale that is truly hop overloaded, but in a good way. Very bitter but with lots of flavour and a good malt undertone that is nicely balanced, and somehow still manages to come in at 5.4% ABV (tastes a bit bigger and heavier that that!). If you read their website it claims to be one of the first super hoppy pale ales out of New Zealand (I have no opinion on how true that is!). All I have to say is... Yum!
