Parrotdog Rifleman XPA

Boom, open the bottle and get whacked with a big passionfruit aroma. First impressions last, and this beer gets that right.

What's an XPA anyway? My interpretation is a beer that's big on hops, relatively small on malt (and therefore alcohol) and yet (somehow) perfectly balanced. And Parrotdog got it bang on. A pleasing beer to look at, smell, taste and feel; pale golden with the slightest haze, amazing whafty aroma hops (American, Kiwi, or both I'm not sure), hint of bitterness, and somehow a perfect combination of big flavour on a relatively light and easy drinking beer, but still with a nice body about it.

I'd easily drink this endlessly on a hot summer's day. Also goes real well with a Reuben sandwich!
