Funk Estate Parleyer Pilsner

This was pretty good for a Tuesday afternoon beer. As you can see nice clear good looking beer, but didn't keep it's head long enough for me to take a photo (30 seconds or so). Tastes good overall, clean and crisp, with a fairly strong bitterness. Not much hops aroma to it (either classic Czech or German noble grassy herby notes or modern NZ/US style), and not a great deal of malt shining through. I thought overall the bitterness was probably a little overpowering for the light clean malt base. So overall a good looking and nice easy drinking beer, but not quite a classic style Czech or German pilsner, and not really enough of a new world flavour to be a modern NZ style Pilsner...
